INTRODUCTION
The Insurance Services Office (ISO) CA 00 01–Business Auto Coverage Form is the primary commercial auto coverage form. It is not designed for a specific type of business to handle any commercial operation's vehicle loss exposures. It is impressive because it is not presumptuous. It simply shows up and does its job of protecting a business against common causes of loss incurred through the ownership, maintenance, or use of motor vehicles. Examples of businesses eligible for coverage include:
- A chain of pizza stores that delivers to homes and businesses
- A taxi business
- A manufacturer that transports its product to wholesalers
- A uniform supply business with a fleet that picks up and delivers work clothing and accessories
- An appliance superstore that delivers big-ticket items, such as large screen high-definition televisions, refrigerators, and cooking ranges
